Labour vote in Cambridge – all about protecting public sector workers earning more than Prime Minister

Cambridge is an interesting City with its own micro economy. I’m often asked why is it not Conservative controlled as it should so obviously be.

It is wealthy, educated and with a lot of privilege. Hardly fertile ground for Labour you would have thought. So what is going on?

It seems that Cambridge has a huge number of public service workers, commuting to London and earning huge salaries. They have a vested interest in a large state, living off the earnings of others.

The Labour PPC Daniel Zeichner does just that. He is Educated at Cambridge University and working for UNISON on national matters out of London.

If you take a look at where the Labour poster boards are it becomes more obvious.
