Interesting conversation tonight with Halifax share dealing help desk.
I was expecting to see financial information relating to dividend payments. It was nowhere to be seen. After a good look around the software nothing made sense so it was time for a quick call to the help desk.
It was a software “glitch” I was told. On one hand I was reassured that the money had been found. It was just going to take a quick email from the support chap to put things right????
But on the other it raised the serious question about how a major financial institution like Halifax has software that can lose money as far as the customer is concerned.
This has affected many customers according to the help desk it seems.
I did not see any helpful notices on the website explaining this nor any emails on the subject.
