Today it was my pleasure to visit Allsorts. The group is held every Tuesday during term time at 9:30 at the Clare Baptist Church Hall. It runs until 11:30 and then a meal is served afterwards.

Today was sausages, egg and beans and who doesn’t like a sausage.

Lots of pre school children, socialising together, learning songs and having fun. So important for little ones. Lots of noise until all of a sudden it went quiet. I looked around to see what was going on ……. I should have guessed – drinks and snacks.

Equally important was the opportunity for mums, dads and grandparents to mix, spread knowledge and experience and provide support to each other. Being a new parent can be stressful so being able to share with others is really helpful.

Big thank you to all the leaders and helpers who shared the morning with me. This is just the sort of community based organisation that I think is so brilliant and love to support.
