Ann Naylor the chair of Kedington Parish Council has been awarded well deserved recognition for all the work she carries out for the community.
It was my pleasure to escort Ann, together with Councillor Marion Rushbrook to West Suffolk House last night. A chance to meet other community leaders and celebrate, with tea and mince pies!

The citation said: “After Abbeycroft Leisure’s Active Communities Lead recognised a need for an increased physical activity provision in Kedington, the Parish Council and Kedington Community Association who are responsible for the village community centre wholeheartedly embraced the Active Suffolk Fit Villages programme! Through extensive community engagement efforts through social media and in-person activities, such as the community café and friendship group, this resulted in a fantastic number of participants also then attending the Fit Villages project. As a direct response to how overwhelmingly positive the community felt about getting involved in such a project, a nine-week chair-based yoga session was initiated. This was strongly promoted by the Parish Council, in particular by Chair, Ann Naylor. The programme achieved over 133 residents attending, often in groups of up to 18 throughout the project.”
