The demand for CarAid in Clare and the surrounding area has exploded recently. In February this year 62 trips were made taking people to and from medical appointments. This compares with the monthly average of 33 trips made last year.

This represents an almost doubling in demand. CarAid depends upon using volunteer drivers, but unfortunately the number of those drivers has not increased anywhere close to the increase in demand for CarAid’s services, which is now close to being unsustainable at the current level. More volunteer drivers are desperately needed so that CarAid can continue providing this essential service that is required by, and necessary for, so many Clare area residents.
