CLASP provides a wednesday lunch club for the elderly or lonely. Up to 30 attend every Wednesday to enjoy a three course meal, for very little cost, and a great social experience provided by the lovely volunteers.
Car Aid is part of CLASP and provides a free service for people who need to visit a hospital, health centre, doctor, dentist or optician, but have difficulty in organising or affording transport.
They also run a minibus providing shopping trips each week and picking up those who attend the lunch club.
Have a look at their website
They are always looking for volunteers especially to drive the mini bus or to help with Car Aid. Can you help? Just a couple of hours a week can help and you will meet some lovely people.
It was my pleasure to be able to present Christmas gifts to all the volunteers on Wednesday on behalf of all the users of CLASP at the Christmas lunch. Then we had carols and mince pies.
Nigel as always provided the music.

Thank you Nick, your support is much appreciated, as was the time you gave to visit CLASP Seniors lunch club at our Christmas lunch last Wednesday.
We hope you have a good Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Best wishes
Sue Packer
