Interesting piece in the Cambridge Evening News from just over a year ago about Kilian Bourke,  the new Lib Dem county council opposition leader. His remarks don’t seem in any way liberal or democratic. Read for yourself about his homophobic attitude and liking for knives.

The Lib Dem MP for Cambridge, at the time, Mr Howarth said “I deplore any sort of homophobic behaviour. It is clear Cllr Bourke understands he has made a serious error of judgement.”

This may be the folly of youth and inexperience but it was only a year ago.
