Monday – where did the day go?

Diary run through with PA at 0730. Had to duck out of the planned 0800 Northstowe cabinet group meeting in order to have a conversation with a district council leader on an urgent matter.

At 0900 I had an interesting meeting to discuss Arbury and what can be done to turn around it’s unfair reputation. After my visit to the Manor school I am keen to help this area of Cambridge in any way I can. Some interesting ideas came from the meeting which will be followed up on.

At 1000 I chaired an informal meeting of the cabinet. We discussed a range of issues and took the opportunity to update each other on progress.

I took a call from the Municipal Journal at 1230. They wanted to do an interview to discuss adult social care. This was followed by a catch up chat with our head of communications.

1300hrs saw me leaving for a meeting in London with one of our largest suppliers returning at 1700hrs. A quick cup of tea at home before a parish council meeting in Teversham to discuss the village plan.

Home for dinner at 1930.
