It was my great pleasure to have a visit to Lancaster Way Business Park in Ely on tuesday. This site provides employment for some 980 people and hosts some fantastic companies.
I was keen to understand how we might support there drive for more business. With district colleagues we explored a range of suggestions some of which we will take away to turn into reality, if at all possible.
As a council we have to support economic success. If people have jobs they can support themselves which reduces the strain on the public finances. I was able to share some of our plans to support business.
