It seems that Clare Blair, who lost her seat at the last Cambridge City elections, as a Lib Dem, has decided that being a Lib Dem is not for her. I can understand that.
It seems being a Lib Dem can be very different depending on which council they sit on or as Clare has discovered national politics. I guess that is because they don’t really have any core values to bind them together, except to oppose.
Credit must be given to Clare for going back and recognising the socialist DNA that was the basis for the beginings of the LIb Dems and coming out honestly about it.
More chance of getting elected as Labour in Cambridge than as a Lib Dem? Never crossed my mind. 🙂
