This morning I was at Cambridge station with Cllr Ian Bates for the local launch of our rail prospectus for East Anglia.
This great document makes the clear case for investment in our rail network locally within East Anglia.
Cambridgeshire County Council is putting its money where it’s mouth is and has already agreed to fund the new Cambridge science park station and committed to sort out the Ely rail crossing.
During an interview with Heart radio I was able to restate my cabinets support for growth and how rail improvements help this.
In the region this prospectus has been led by Chloe Smith, a Conservative Minister. All our MPs support this initiative.
