Labour will not tell me what I can eat

It seems Labour have not learnt a very important lesson yet. The state does not always know best and does not have the right to enforce its views on the general population unless it is absolutely necessary.

Andy Burnham, Labour MP and shadow health secretary has decided that educating people to eat less fat, salt and sugar is not happening as fast as he wants. Stamping his feet, he has declared that more laws are required to compel everyone to behave the way he wants.

Education works when trying to affect behavioural change, laws don’t.
