Today I spent a pleasant hour with Andie Harper on his mid morning show. We talked about most things including our budget. I like the format of this show as it allows sufficient time to explore the important issues of the day. The style is questioning but not one reliant on generating sound bites.

Later in the day I was interviewed by ITV in our council chambers, again talking about the budget. This was very much about a sound bite. I was interviewed for 10 minutes but only a few seconds was played.

I was surprised to see Richard Taylor, described as a local businessman, on the feature.
