UK – China bilateral trading deal.

Following the Prime Minister’s meeting with China’s Premier yesterday British businesses have agreed £14 billion of trade deals with China.
A key part of our long-term economic plan to secure a better future for Britain is linking our country up to the fastest growing economies on the planet. China is central to that.

Over the last few years we have built a much stronger bilateral trading relationship between the UK and China, with bilateral trade at record levels. UK exports to China were up 15 per cent during 2013, have more than doubled in the last five years to total £1 billion a month and are now growing at a faster rate than France or Germany.

This week we have signed trade deals worth more than £14 billion, securing jobs, securing investment and increasing prosperity in Britain.
