The local elections are on the 6th May. If like me, all the candidates will be out and about meeting folk, posting leaflets and all looking a mixture of excited and nervous.
It is mainly the police and crime commissioner and county seats that are up for grabs but there is also a smattering of district council seats as a result of by-elections.
They all want your vote what ever their political party. They are in full on receive mode. Get your questions to them. Email, telephone, Facebook or a tug on the collar will work (socially distanced of course). Where ever possible get a commitment from them. Be direct but polite.
If you have not heard from a candidate ask them why? If they can’t be bothered at election time when will they be bothered.
Over the top, up and at ‘em.
