The Queen has impacted all our lives and will be sorely missed. Her dignity and strength coupled with her dedication to her duty made her a formidable force in the world.

It was my honour to have served in her armed forces for many years. My oath to the Queen is enduring. I had lunch with the Queen 10 years ago and was so impressed with her strength of character and mischievous humour.

She is now with her life long partner and can be relieved of her duties.
