Elaine Martin has again asked me to lead the most important ceremony of the year in Clare. We are inviting all of you to an informal gathering to pay our respects to those who have fallen on our behalf. I will be saying a few words (not too many I promise) and leading a minutes silence.

We will be getting together at around 1045hrs at the memorial outside the Co-op. Even if you can’t make it to the memorial if you hear my whistle being blown do stop what you are doing and reflect for a few moments on those who have given everything for us.

You will all be very welcome. And do come and say hello and introduce yourself to me.
