Clare Walks – read all about it. We are so lucky to have such a lovely place to live.

Recently, I was enjoying a lovely cup of coffee and a cinnamon bun in the Small Town Cafe in Clare. I was minding my own business when I was suddenly approached by a very persuasive lady.

I was asked if I knew much about the walks around Clare which was interesting as I have been looking into some short walks for my mum who moved to Clare last year. Don’t be fooled, mum is still up for a three mile trek, even though she is in her 80’s.

Suffice to say, I agreed to promote the fantastic book, “Fifteen walks around Clare”. I am sure I will be trying some of the walks out this summer. A great way to keep fit and meet people.

There is a host of information, about walks around Clare, which can be found here https://clarewalks.co.uk Oh, and don’t forget to buy the book which can also be found on the website.

  1. Clare Walkers have a walk every Tuesday morning from the Old Good Shed in the country park. We meet at 10.15 for a 10.30 start and walk for just over an hour , using the ‘short walks’ as the basis for the routes we take. Usually about 25 lovely friendly people of all ages join us and your Mum would be very welcome, as would you. All free and with the option of a very sociable coffee at Platform One afterwards!
