Cavendish – public meeting last night

A planning application Dc/24/1711/FUL has been submitted. It seeks to change the use of a dwelling from residential to children’s care home.

I was asked to chair a public meeting which was held last night to hear the views of everyone.

There were a good number of people there including lots of local people, members of the Parish Council, District Councillors (including myself), our County Councillor and local vicar. The applicants were also in attendance.

I thank everyone for the polite and respectful way matters were discussed, even when people disagreed.

I believe everyone who wanted to speak was given the chance.

Next week the Parish Council will make a decision on whether it will support or oppose the planning application. The public meeting will have helped to inform their decisions I hope.

  1. I thought you were a super chair for the meeting . You were informative, gave everyone a fair chance to talk and were incredibly welcoming in your whole approach to the meeting. Thank you for your time to come to Cavendish .
