Today has been tied up with the recruitment process for the vacant Executive Director post in Communities and Adult Services directorate. Lots of interviews, presentations, tests etc etc for the candidates. A really thorough two day selection process put together by HR. Day one ran like clockwork despite me throwing curved balls into the process.

I also had a couple of meetings, with senior officers, about the first meeting of the Health and Wellbeing Board which is planned later this month. This board has the potential to shape how we and partners work together in a number of areas of public health. I am keen that it focuses on outcomes and gets some early wins under it’s belt.
