Local business gets confidence boost

I was pleased to hear today that a business in Teversham, the area I represent as a local councillor, has been approved onto the Buy With Confidence scheme.

The business is Airwave Aerials, run by John Spring, and this badge of honour means that their customers can be assured that they operate in a legal, honest and fair way.

The County Council’s Trading Standards team are currently rolling this scheme out across Cambridgeshire, and they do the vetting of businesses to ensure that they are up to the standards we expect.

Airwave Aerials will be able to proudly display the Buy With Confidence logo and will be added to the national database here; http://www.buywithconfidence.gov.uk.

I have to say that this scheme seems like a real winner to me. The County Council is playing a valuable role in helping the people of Cambridgeshire, including those that are particularly vulnerable, to protect themselves from being ripped off. I’ll be writing to John shortly to congratulate him.
