What a great day on the Thames. Being part of the 1000 boat flotilla for the queens Diamond Jubilee was a real honour. Everything went according to plan and was a great experience. The rain and cold whilst a minor irritation did not spoil the day.
Our boat, the Amaryllis, was the boat that is better known for escorting the Cambridge boat during the boat race with Oxford. It really is a lovely boat.
We expected Amaryllis to be an open top boat exposed to the elements but in fact we were pleasantly surprised to find it had an awning.
