Daniel Zeichner has been selected by Labour activists to fight the Cambridge City seat. At the last election Daniel was beaten into third place behind the Lib Dems and our own Conservative Nick Hilman.

My money was on Tariq Sadiq the Labour opposition leader at the County Council. Tariq would have been a much bigger challenge.

In recent tweets, Labour Cllr George Owers describes Zeicher as a ‘terrible candidate’ and saying he has ‘0% confidence in him’.

With the Lib Dems in meltdown this gives a real opportunity to have a Conservative MP in Cambridge as we do everywhere else in the County.
