During many of my visits around the County it has become clear that mental health is a significant factor in the wellbeing of our citizens. It is also a significant challenge for service providers to overcome.

Dementia, drugs, alcohol abuse, family breakdown and criminality often have roots in mental health issues. This is a big challenge for all of us.

David Edwards has been appointed as the new Chairman of CPTF. It was a real pleasure to meet him today. We explored areas of collaboration and discussed a whole system approach to supporting the people of Cambridgeshire.
