This Saturday my daughter, Tessa, is to marry Jamie Garner. They make a lovely couple and are so supportive and loving to each other.

How very, very exciting. My mum and dad have come up from Cornwall to share in this special event. My speech is written but ………. every time I read it out loud I can feel the tears welling up with happiness. I’m told odds are being given for who has the first tear and I am afraid all the favourites are men!

All we need is for the weather to hold. Happy times.
