This afternoon, after we had launched our manifesto, we had the pleasure of hosting Conservative MEPs Vicky Ford and Geoffrey Van Orden.

They were able to give us an insight into the problems of Europe and how this failed political experiment was costing this country millions of pounds.

It is clear from what was said that UKIP are not pulling their weight in Europe. It seems they don’t turn up to important committee meetings often resulting in votes being lost because of it.

I have little time for this sort of lazy politics. If they don’t turn up they should step aside for other hardworking politicians who are prepared to fight our corner.

I don’t want to be ruled by Europe, anymore than UKIP does, but whilst we are part of this political experiment then we must play our part to affect change rather than sulking in the corner.
