In his speech today Ed Miliband will promise to increase spending on the NHS in England with funding from a tax on homes worth more than £2 million.

You can’t fund the NHS if you bankrupt the economy as the last Labour Government did.

The Conservatives are proud to have increased NHS spending by far more than this proposed tax would raise – something we could only afford to do because we took difficult decisions opposed by Labour.

The biggest threat to the NHS we all passionately support is an irresponsible Labour Government that loses control of our national finances again.
