Recently I was approached by Clare Community Choir to see what funding may be available to help them overcome the financial ravages of covid. Like many community groups they have been sorely hit financially through lack of performance income and subscriptions whilst costs continue.
They are a group of 75 musical souls who have been performing for the last 10 years. Such community groups are a fantastic contribution to community cohesion. If only I could sing………..
The next performance is planned for Saturday 21st May at the Stour Valley Community School. They are joining with the Long Medford Silver Band for what promises to be a fabulous performance.
I have been able to signpost some possible sources of funding and am delighted to chip in £250 from my locality budget. Looking forward to seeing the show.
