Rural Coffee Caravan – Suffolk based charity supporting rural communities

Lovely to chat with Diana, one of the staff, from the Rural Coffee Caravan at Cavendish fete. They provide a warm welcome, lots of advice and a cup of coffee all completely free although donations are always welcome.

The caravan roves around the county spreading kindness and community in an attempt to drive out loneliness from peoples lives. It has been using a network of pubs and clubs across Suffolk to help address loneliness and isolation since 2018 with their Meet Up Mondays events.

If your village or community would like a visit from them, simply get in touch. Take a look at their website https://ruralcoffeecaravan.org.uk/visits

Visit slots are Monday to Friday, 10 am – 12 noon or 2 pm – 4 pm.

For outdoor visits, all they need is permission to park and space to set out tables and chairs, with easy access for everyone. For indoor visits, get in touch with them so they can discuss ways to manage the visit with you. They provide the free refreshments, plenty of cheer, and access to a raft of information.
