Todays visit to  Alconbury primary school was devised so that I could see how a primary school uses ICT. This primary school must be at the leading edge of using software even though the hardware was looking old. Youngsters using complex software from a very early edge was a delight to see. They have no fear of failure or of breaking anything. You could see the interest and enthusiasm in the youngsters. Interestingly, complex issues and problems were being explored in subtle ways using the technology.

The children from this school would be developing skills that many adults will never master. They will need them. Out loud thought – are all schools so positive about ICT? I must find out.
