I had an enjoyable hour on the Andy Harper show yesterday. We discussed a range of issues with some probing questions from Andy. This show allows for a more conversational approach rather than the much short 5 mins on “Breakfast Time” radio.

It is good to be challenged but can be slightly daunting when being questioned by such an experienced presenter. This is especially true when it is an hour as we could end up on any subject !!!!!!

We must be mindful of the proposed BBC cuts and seek to protect local radio where ever we can. Local radio is good for democracy and an effective window into the often complicated and unclear world of politics. A real public service that we should all fight for. Sack a couple of highly paid actors or lose local radio – you choose, I know what I would do.
