I had a regular meeting with the chief exec and the opposition group leaders. This is a good opportunity to get cross party agreement on non political matters.

Generally, it is easier to take decisions with the leader of the Labour group as he and I are empowered by our groups to make decisions. It is more difficult for the Lib Dem leader as most things have to be referred back to his group. As a leader that must be really hard to work through.

As always we had a good meeting.
