What a fantastic result for the Conservatives, last night. Congratulations to Shapour Meftah who won the Trumpington seat with a convincing margin.

This is not just good news for Trumpington, who will benefit from a hardworking and able councillor, but Cambridge as a whole. Shapour will be able to get the voice of common sense heard and financial management back under control.

No more can  the Conservatives be dismissed as not representing anyone in Cambridge.

I am  very excited about wotking closely with Shapour so that we can build on this break through.
