This morning I attended a Cambridge & Counties bank board meeting which was held in Leicestershire, one of the Counties the bank is targeting. All is well in our world of banking even if it is difficult elsewhere. Interestingly, it is now clear that banks are very, very regulated.
I am sat on a train on my way to meet the Prime Minister, in No 10, with a group of other Council Leaders. I’m looking forward to making the case for Adult Social Care funding reform. It is such an important issue and threatens to swamp our budgets. Cambridgeshire is one of the counties that can help drive this country out of recession if we are allowed to get on with it. We are up for it, I hope everyone else is as well.
