Last night Ann Widdecombe entertained a packed ball room in Anstey Hall, Trumpington with her views on politics, dancing and life in general.

I added my bit by chairing the event but what was fantastic was the huge number of helpers that got stuck in. Wonderful food and drink.

Ann was interviewed by the BBC last night and the Cambridge news this morning. This all helps to give encouragement to the 12800 voters of Cambridge, who voted for the Conservatives in the last general election, that the Conservative Party in Cambridge is strong and growing.

We raised a lot of funds, entertained supporters and were able to welcome a number of new members.

Brilliant night in a fantastic setting.
