Labour fail to stand up to unions.

The Electoral Commission donation figures, published yesterday, show that the Labour Party remain financially dependent on the trade unions.
Ed Miliband said he’d stand up to his union paymasters like Len McCluskey – but he’s failed and broken his promise.

Not only have Unite given their biggest ever donation to Ed Miliband, they’ve also said that further cash depends on getting their demands written into Labour’s next manifesto. Nothing has changed at all – union bosses are still in the driving seat at Labour HQ. They are holding the purse strings, selecting the candidates and picking the policies.

And we all know what this means – more borrowing, more spending and more taxes hitting families across the country. It’s the same old Labour Party.
