I asked the question of West Suffolk Council if it maintains a list of people who could be potentially violent towards a councillor. Given recent history it seemed prudent to understand the threat.

It seems our Health & Safety Team maintains a Customer Alert List which is a list of people who could be potentially violent towards a Council representative. It was confirmed to me that there are no properties or people in my ward on this list. If a person or property is added to the list then I will be notified.

That is reassuring not just for me but my other two ward members and the general public.

Just to head off those with a sense of humour I am guessing those enjoying time at Her Majesties pleasure at Highpoimt prison are excluded from the list!!!
